Thank you for visiting my site! Instructional design gives me great satisfaction; from planning out a course with SME, developing learning objectives, aligning learning activities and assessments to outcomes, building the learning objects, to getting feedback that a course I have collaborated on improved the learner’s experience.
I have a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and a MSc in Curriculum and Instruction, both with an emphasis in Educational Technology. I also have a BA in Business with a focus on Human Resources. Browse through my projects, resume, and learning philosophy to get a better feel for what I do.

My Journey in Instructional Design
2017-present Apply ADDIE process, backwards design, and learning theories to instructional design projects in my positions as instructional designer, SME, and e-learning Multimedia Developer. Create performance support job aids and tutorials. Keep adding to repertoire of tech skills.
2014-2015 Evaluated existing course material for courses I was teaching at Johnson County Community College and made design changes to deliverables to facilitate the principles of andragogy.
2007-2014 Built online courses in the in-house LMS, worked on stand-alone CD-delivered courses, and worked with SMEs as well as clients while employed as a graduate research assistant at the e-Learning Design Lab, University of Kansas.
2003-2005 Early foray into ADDIE as the Learning and Development Executive at Exel Singapore (APAC), where I designed and facilitated teambuilding events as well as HRIS training. [Got promoted to L&D Senior Executive – I must have done some things right!]
2003 A real peek into training protocols and programs as an intern at the Ritz Carlton Millennia Singapore Hotel
2000-2003 Introduction to Learning and Development and Training in my Human Resources Consulting Bachelors program
